Denise has been involved with American Sign Language and the Deaf community since 1996 and a professional certified interpreter since 2001. Her experience has been in educational and community based venues with a knowledge of a broad range of subjects, protocols, and specialized vocabularies. As an independent freelance practitioner, Denise has worked in the Mid-Hudson area, Utica/Rome, Massachusetts, and Vermont, as well as the Capital Region. Professionally, she upholds the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct, with the primary directive to “do no harm”.  Denise continues to engage in professional dialogue with colleagues, both Deaf and Hearing, to promote integrity in the profession of interpreting, stay current with best practices in the field, and maintain a rigorous course of professional development.
